How to Deal with Burnout for All Ages
How to Deal with Burnout for All Ages - Maybe once in a while we have felt burn out in our heads, whatever the cause, there are many kinds. We may be aware of the root cause of this burnout, but on the other hand, there are some individuals who do not know what causes this burnout.
Some suggest meditation, reflection or contemplation.
However, there are some who feel that this treatment is suitable, but on the
other hand, there are some individuals who are not suitable for this method.
If we look further, the causes of burnout are very diverse,
including career matters, business and so on. Surely you often experience this,
especially for those of you who are office workers who are struggling with all
kinds of the same routines every day and sometimes workloads that are beyond
your capacity.
I want to get out of all this fatigue, but the shadow of
other things still haunts me about this. However, there is nothing without a
solution, everything has a solution as long as we are optimistic and involve
God Almighty in every step we take.
In this discussion, we will discuss how to overcome burnout
that is suitable for all ages to practice easily step by step. For more
details, you can see the explanation in the following article.
1. Doing regular exercise
By doing regular workouts, for the method, you can do
physical exercise by jogging, badminton or futsal, in my opinion, choosing this
sport is enough and can still be done routinely in the midst of the busyness
that hits every week.
When jogging alone can be done easily as long as the
weather is sunny and cloudy, we can immediately do this activity, without
having to wait for other people's free time. In addition, badminton can also be
done indoors if the weather is not friendly at that time, just wait for the
arrival of other personnel who want to compete that day.
If there are many friends, you can do futsal which can be
done outdoors. Besides being fun, there are many benefits to be gained from
playing futsal.
2. Maintain a healthy diet
Sometimes we often consume food without paying attention to
the nutrition contained in it, considering that our daily lives are busy with
various activities that require us to finish at that time.
By maintaining a nutritious diet, this can maintain the
supply of energy and health in the body. It would be good if in a day we could
eat regularly 3 times a day so that the body's metabolism is maintained and
avoids burnout which can arise at any time in us.
3. Maintain a balance in life (work life balance)
If possible, we should limit work hours when it's time to
leave, yes, leave when it's time to go home, we try to go home late. Because by
applying this method we can apply boundaries between personal life and the
world of professionalism.
In addition, we must avoid working too late until overtime,
this will trigger burnout quickly. Try to fill the evening with light
activities such as playing games, watching movies/anime and listening to songs
that can make our bodies more relaxed.
4. Limit the use of social media
There are times when we often want to relax at night, but
on the other hand, this will have a bad effect on us, for example, doing
excessive doom scrolling. Want to relax but instead end up with burnout.
We should have a time limit in accessing various content on
social media, because that way burn out will not appear in us. Just a few
minutes is enough to avoid burn out appearing in us.
5. Get enough rest (sleep)
If your body feels tired at night, it means that it is a
signal from our subconscious to stop doing all kinds of activities. To
replenish the energy that has been drained all day, we can relax by getting
enough sleep. After coming home from work, we can relax a little by making a
to-do list for the next day, after that we can continue by playing light games,
with the note that the game is non-competitive so that playing it does not
trigger burnout.
You can play light games that are not too draining on the
mind, if you feel that it is enough, continue by sleeping until morning.
Those are just a few tips that I can share so that we do
not easily get burnout while undergoing this worldly restlessness.
