How To Recover After Playing a Long Game
How To Recover After Playing a Long Game - Nowadays, gaming has become a form of entertainment for some people, both online and offline. All types of games are available on various platforms, including Steam, the Google Play Store, and the App Store. We can try out any game we find interesting for free.
New games emerge daily with
engaging gameplay, especially on mobile devices like smartphones.
To recover after prolonged
gaming, we should engage in light physical activity such as stretching or a
light walk. Afterward, rest your eyes using the 20-20-20 rule (every 20
minutes, look at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds), drink water, eat healthy
snacks, distract yourself with other hobbies or socialize, and create a
post-game routine. If you're already addicted, limit your gaming time and seek
support from friends, family, or professionals.
While still playing (short breaks)
Stretching: Do some light
stretches to loosen tense muscles.
Rest your eyes (20-20-20
rule): Every 20 minutes, look at an object 20 feet (about 6 meters) away for 20
seconds.
Drink water: Make sure your
body is hydrated, as your brain needs plenty of fluids.
Move around: Stand up
straight, take a short walk, or go outside for some fresh air.
After playing (physical &
mental recovery)
Physical:
Do light exercise or other
physical activity to release endorphins.
Eat healthy, nutrient-rich
foods (fruits, vegetables, protein) to restore energy, and avoid excess sugar
and fat.
Mental:
"Quit Game" &
Divert: Get out of gaming mode, step away from the desk, and do something else
for a while.
Find another activity: Read a
book, play a musical instrument, or pursue another non-digital hobby.
Socialize: Chat with family or
friends (note: avoid hanging out with gamers if you want to reduce your
gaming).
Routine: Create a planned
morning and evening routine to be more productive and less focused on gaming.
If you're already addicted
Limit your time: Set a definite gaming schedule (for example, 1 hour a day).
Identify triggers: Figure out
what makes you want to play excessively.
Seek support: Talk to a
psychologist or psychiatrist if you're having trouble coping on your own.
